Hi there! My name is Sarah Henry. I am a Certified Health & Wellness Coach with a Lifestyle Medicine Specialist designation, as well as a Meditative Yoga Instructor.
As a Lifestyle Medicine Coach, I specialize in working with clients to incorporate diet; exercise; improved sleep and stress management strategies; and other lifestyle modifications into their busy schedules. Additionally, I work with patients who are suffering from chronic illness or pain to learn to better manage their conditions so that they can experience improved health outcomes and lead fuller and more independent lives. I also enjoy helping clients to incorporate mindfulness-based practices, as well as more balance, into their everyday lives.
I know firsthand what it’s like to fall victim to an unhealthy cycle of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. For years, I felt stuck in unhealthy relationships and an unsatisfying career. I struggled with depression and with my weight, and I often found that I lacked the time and energy to commit to exercising and to eating right. (To learn more about my personal journey, click here).
As an expert coach, I know that there is no “one size fits all” approach. Our work together will be uniquely tailored to your personal goals and special circumstances. In just a few sessions, you will learn new skills that will allow you to break free from old patterns that are no longer serving you so that you can change your life for the better.
I am also a Yin and Restorative Yoga Instructor who offers both forms of meditative yoga (privately and within the classroom setting) as part of my therapeutic practice. Both of these styles of yoga are highly therapeutic because they allow for the release of deep-seated pain and stagnant emotions. My teachings allow my students to sink deeper into their poses with long holds while remaining open and present to the energy of the subtle body. It is my intention to create a healing and supportive space that is key to releasing unwanted emotions and cultivating a relaxed body and mind.
